Clean Your Ring at Home With This Simple Solution

When you first slide your ring onto your finger, it sparkles unlike anything else.

Fast forward a few months, weeks, or even days and your once radiate diamond is now looking a little dull. Your diamond ring requires a regular cleaning in order to remove the layer of film that builds up from exposure to lotions, shampoo, soap, and food.

A quick internet search later and you'll be up to your ears in advice on how to use house hold items like ketchup and vodka to thoroughly clean your ring. But are those methods safe to use and effective at cleaning it?

According to the experts... no.

However, there is a simple, at-home solution that will restore that sparkle in no time without even leaving your house.

Here are the things you will need:

1. Warm water

2. Dish wash soap

3. A gentle toothbrush

4. A gentle cloth / towel

STEP ONE: Heat up some water in a bowl. You want the water to be warm, but not boiling. (Boiling water can cause the metal to expand, which can cause the stones to become loose).

STEP TWO: Place a few drops of dish soap into the bowl of warm water.

STEP THREE: Place your ring into the solution you've made and let sit between 20 - 40 minutes.

STEP FOUR: Remove your ring from the solution and run the gentle tooth brush over the diamond(s).

STEP FIVE: Rinse your ring under warm water and dry with a gentle cloth.

You can use this method as needed to ensure that your ring is in tip-top shape!
