How To Look & Feel Your Best On Your Big Day!

Dos

#1. Practice, practice, practice- We are sure that you have been told time and time again to practice walking around in your wedding shoes (even if they are flats), but there are a lot of other important elements of a wedding that would benefit some practicing. Smiling for hours on end, holding the bouquet in the right position, reading your vows out loud, and giving speeches in front of all your friends and loved ones are often not things that you do regularly. Trust us, you will be happy that you took the extra time to ensure that your wedding day goes that much smoother.

#2. Let Your True Self Shine- With the pressure of having to look perfect and knowing that you will be photographed the entire day, it is not surprising that many brides feel pressured to go over the top with their look. However, the secret to looking and feeling your best on your special day is to choose a look that accentuates your features and is just a few steps up from your normal routine. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to feel uncomfortable and look like a completely different person.

#3. Make Time For The Small Things- Brides often get caught up in the overwhelming thought that they are never going to get to experience this day again, and therefore, they cannot spend time on anything other than planning the perfect wedding. Let us tell you, that making time for the seemingly small things is crucial. Take extra caution to drink enough water, schedule some "you" time, and spend time on activities outside of wedding planning. All of this will ensure that you are physically and mentally ready for your special day!

Don'ts

#1. Do Not Try Anything New- Well maybe not anything. More so, avoid trying a brand new make up look, skin care routine, or hairstyle the day of your wedding. If you have never tried a red lipstick before, done a fishtail braid, or used a certain skin care product, make sure you test it out, practice, and love it before the morning of. The last thing you want is for you to look back at all of your gorgeous wedding pictures and regret your choice.

#2. Do Not Wait Until The Last Minute- For all of the brides out there who want to self tan, whiten their teeth, or any other pampering before the big day, do not wait until the last minute! What was supposed to be a relaxing pedicure, ends up being a stressful experience or getting pushed off entirely due to last minute tasks arising. Make sure to book your appointments well in advance and do not leave it all for the day before.

#3. Do Not Get A New Hair Color- Experimenting with different hair colors for some change is always fun, but make sure you do not experiment too close to the wedding. Even if you have the best hair dresser who has done your hair for years, you can easily not feel like yourself at all with a drastically different color. Make sure to test out any hair colors well before your event so that you have some time to really decide if you love it.
